21 Days of Hope - Day 4 - Hope Against Hope

Romans 4:18 (Passion translation)

Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it. He took God at his word, and as a result he became the father of many nations. God’s declaration over him came to pass:

“Your descendants will be so many

that they will be impossible to count!”

In hope against hope he, (Abraham) believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken.

He became according to what was spoken, that is the heart of the Lord for each one of us reading this devotion, that we would become what He says. When everything was hopeless Abraham believed anyway. He decided to live not on the basis of what he saw he could not do, but on the basis of what God said he would do, and the result was he became the father of many peoples.

So, the cry for us is that in every single area of life and in every place that hopelessness has influenced us, it would be swallowed up with divine promise and hope.

This is a season of breakthrough. So we pray that you be will immersed in this contagious HOPE as well the church, the city, and the nations.I believe there will not be one place that would not be driven by an army of Hope givers and Hope breathers, those who will define their homes, and neighborhoods where they live with this infectious HOPE. It is time to be that voice of hope, and a source of power and His presence.

1. What is your next place of personal breakthrough?

2. Is there any place in your life that is resisting the hope of God?

3. What must you do to get your life back on track with HOPE?

4. How can you and the Holy Spirit develop new routines in your life?

Love,
